By implementing a challenging project, BiiON was able to assist Baxter in:
- increasing production capacity
- Reducing production time significantly
- Creating a complete facility that was fully checked, documented and qualified
- Producing a modern facility using standard techniques ready for future developments
Baxter entrusted the entire project – from analysis through total build – to its systems integrator BiiON.
BiiON carried out the needs analysis in conjunction with Baxter. It then provided a complete specification and qualification file before going on to produce the full Process Control consisting of:

- Programming the PLC-SCADA (Archestra)
- Installing and configuring InBatch
- Real time recording via In SQL
- Full reporting via the web site
- 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
Utilities -> Mixing -> Distribution -> Filing -> Sterilis
Coordination of each of these components included the following management systems:
- Monitoring all measurements
- Alarm management
- Utility (WFI Loops) management
- Automatic management of user points
- Product release report management
- Steriliser management
- Start-up management based on calibration and qualification data
