Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

The two main functions of the MES are :

Deliver the data necessary to the execution of the manufacturing order at the process control level.
Collect the data generated at the production level to make them availbale at the planning level.

The MES is located between the ERP level upstream and the process control / SCADA level downstream.

Beside its role of bi-directional agent between these two levels, it also has as objectives:

the optimized operational execution of the instructions received from the planning
the event monitoring
the storage of records
the analysis of normal or critical events related to the production

To summarize, the MES is including all functional modules that are able to cover the preparation and execution tasks as well as the execution follow-up tasks. BiiON can offer different MES solutions.
